How it all started

Alan MacIntosh and Alain Auclair, both involved in different charity boards, saw first hand the lack of connection between the tech and social worlds. Their wish? Seeing thriving tech entrepreneurs working side by side with community agency leaders to make sure every Montrealer gets their chance at a good life.

Launched with the precious support of OSMO, a first event in 2016 brought the two seemingly opposing worlds together. Since then, TechAide and a group of passionate volunteers from Google Real Ventures and others have been working tirelessly to help Centraide break the cycle of poverty and social exclusion in Greater Montreal.
