SUMMARY:Update Required - Improv Night
DESCRIPTION:Update Required is a one-night-only comedy event hosted by Kory Mathewson and Julian Faid of Rapid Fire Theatre in Edmonton\, alongside Piotr Mirowski (London\, England) and maybe even some special guests! With changing technology as the guiding theme\, they will introduce you to Improbotics and Improvised TED Talks. \n\n\n\nMarch 3rd 2023 at O Patro Vys. \n\n\n\nDoors : 7:30PM\, Show : 8PM\, End : 9:30PM \n\n\n\n20$ \n\n\n\nImprobotics\n\n\n\nImprobotics is a science comedy show and a live Turing test. An artificial intelligence-based chatbot is performing alongside a human cast\, and it tries to pass as human as it sends lines to one of the improvisers via an earpiece. Our hilarious challenge is to attempt to justify\, physically and emotionally\, AI-generated lines that may make no sense at all. \n\n\n\nImprovised TED Talks\n\n\n\nImprovised TED Talks: Using slides they haven’t seen and speaking on a topic they get from the audience\, Kory Mathewson and Julian Faid of Edmonton’s Rapid Fire Theatre will present totally improvised powerpoint presentations right before your eyes. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll proceeds from the event will go to the Techaide initiative to give back to Centraide of Greater Montreal\, in support of the 350 local agencies that fight poverty and social exclusion every day.  \n\n\n\n*All donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt. This receipt will be issued in the name of the person or company that registered the donation. Registration No.: 11884 2517 RR0001. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGet your tickets
