Heroes of the day<\/h2>\n

It all started in January when Veselina<\/a>, Andr\u00e9a<\/a>, Kurt<\/a>, and Laurent<\/a>\u00a0met virtually to initiate the organization of the tournament with the goal of recruiting 32 teams and raising $50,000 for Centraide of Greater Montreal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Twenty extraordinary volunteers then joined us to offer an incredible experience to the 33 teams and 400 players of this 3rd edition of the Techaide soccer tournament<\/a>. They are the heroes of the day.<\/p>\n

Thank you Romy, Kim, Am\u00e9lie, Adrien, Laurianne, Charlie, Stephen, Benoit, Laurianne, Emmanuelle, Christophe, Louis, Cynthia, Danny, Laura and Jean-Christophe.<\/p>\n

A special thanks to the Notman House<\/a> team (OSMO Foundation) for their support over the past few weeks, and to Unito<\/a> for contributing half of the tournament volunteers.<\/p>\n

Generosity in every way<\/h2>\n

In the first two editions of the Techaide soccer tournament, the teams raised $25,000 and $31,000 for Centraide. With a goal of $50,000 this year, we set the bar very high.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, Montreal’s tech community took up the challenge with incredible generosity that helped to exceed the goal with $60,000 in donations<\/strong>, a 93% increase over 2020.<\/p>\n

TrackTik<\/a> particularly excelled with 100% participation in all three Techaide soccer tournaments, and especially with $7,731 in donations this year, which gives it a well-deserved first place.<\/p>\n

At the individual level, we have to mention the exceptional donation campaign organized by Maxime Kogovsek<\/a>, from the Fizz<\/a> team, who alone raised over $1,200.<\/p>\n

A year of records<\/h2>\n

To give back as much as possible to those who need it most, Techaide has a goal of keeping its event expenses under 10% (FYI, 15% is great for a nonprofit).<\/p>\n

2022 is a record year for the Techaide Soccer Tournament, as organizational expenses accounted for only 4.5% of the money raised.<\/p>\n

This excellent result is made possible by a 100% volunteer organization and the support of extraordinary partners:<\/p>\n
